This photo was taken on our river trip. We were lucky to have a mother bring her cub through the yard while we sat quietly and watched. The mother was very relaxed as she stopped to forage on some grass. They cub took a moment to do a bit of “people watching” before continuing to feed with her mother.
This is a grizzly bear sitting in a pool in the Glendale river in Knight Inlet. The fish that you see are returning Pink Salmon. On a good return the river is black with fish. This is important, because our coastal Grizzly Bears rely on the protein rich salmon to put on enough wait to make it through their winter hibernation.Visit our Blog
